Series of 50 glass lantern slides taken in Igloolik, NU.
This series of photographs takes on the format of early magic lantern slides that would have been used to disseminate images of the arctic during the 19th century. Opposed to the romanticized images found in early lantern shows, these images serve as contemporary snapshots. Below is a video demonstration of me projecting these slides in an antique magic lantern projector.
